Grønnegata

On the night of 13 March 1977, the Communist-owned bookshop ‘Oktober’ at 35 Grønnegata was blown up. The attack has since been described as the first act of political terrorism in Norway since the Second World War.

Playwright Maja Bohne Johnsen is back at the Hålogaland Theatre with a story about Tromsø as only she can tell it. In *Grønnegata*, we are taken back to an exciting decade in which powerful political forces were at play both in Tromsø and across the rest of the country. A time characterised by the rise of the Communist Party (AKP-ml), self-proletarianisation and the women’s struggle.
